Mediterranean Baked Hake

Makes 4 Servings


  • 4 pieces of hake
  • 1 onion finely chopped
  • 2 green peppers, finely chopped
  • bread crumbs
  • 1 lb can of tomatoes
  • finely chopped parsley
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • black pepper


Crush garlic cloves in a mortar and let them aside. Heat 4 tablespoons olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and green pepper for 5 minutes. Add garlic. Add tomatoes and let everything cook for 5 minutes. Add a pinch of salt and black pepper.

Place the hake on an oven safe tray and cover with sauce. Sprinkle with bread crumbs. Put it in oven for 45 minutes. Add parsley in the last 5 minutes. Serve hot.
